The Gustavian era is a restrained interpretation of the French Louis XV and Louis XVI style, having evolved throughout the 18th and early 19th century, a style both light and elegant. A combination of gentle curves lending a warmth and beauty to any room, and a harmony within our environment.

Reflecting the reserved and humble character of Sweden, the pieces are simpler in design and execution. Swedish Gustavian antiques were adapted using Nordic Pine and painted soothing weathered grays and whites exposing their clean, distinctive hand-carved lines. This also supported the reflective ability sought during Sweden's long dark winters.
